It’s a beautiful school located at the Southern France, close to Spanish border and Mediterranean sea. Gastronomicom is managed by an extremely capable team of professional. One star Michelin level and the French language is taught by a native an experience French lecturer. If anyone is looking to do a short course in Gastronomicom or a full course with Pastry, Cuisine and French Language together with an internship. I can guarantee that you won’t regret it.
I enrolled for the one year program at Gastronomicom, which features intensive language classes as well as training in both cuisine and patisserie (3.5 hours of each a day). The classes are very good at impressing the skills upon you quickly - the teachers are very dynamic and engaging, and the class size allows for individual instruction and direction. For the French classes, you will take from it what you put into it - as with learning any language, no matter how good the teacher is, if you are not paying attention or taking the time out of your evening to do the studying and practicing at home, you will not see results. If you do, you can very quickly become intermediate level to fluent in French in the 6 month span. The students come from all over the world, which is an incredible experience to broaden your horizons and meet people from different cultures and backgrounds. The age ranges from freshly turned 18 year olds all the way into lovely 70 from my experience, and all ages and backgrounds are welcomed with the same enthusiasm. If you are looking for a career change or to enhance your current skills, or just for an adventure unlike any other as an avid foodie, I highly recommend a program at Gastronomicom.
Gastronomicom was truly an unforgettable experience. I learnt some incredible skills that I will use throughout my life and meet amazing people from all over the world. The staff are friendly and professional, they make it a great environment to grow and learn regardless of your experience going in. If you love cooking and baking or want to pursue a career as a chef I completely recommend Gastronomicom.
The school is great. Very professional. Even when the classes where cancel due corona virus, they manage to find good individual solutions. I am happy with the training I received there.

I enquried about the 1 year service. I wanted to enroll in the 1 year course because i wanted to improve my french and also learn more about french cooking(18000/course) . After talking to the director Olivier, I wanted to wait until April next year-until hopefully The Covid will be resolved and we won't have to wear face masks during cooking class- what is the point of cooking if you can't use your sense of smell?! But the director Olivier, who was initially more that happy to send me payment forms for the course,after hearing i want to wait, mentioned how he didn't want me as i was too old anyway and he wouldn't have been been able to find me an internship. How strange....Some people start a new carrer/life at 37. But for his business...i was too old to find an internship. Good luck!
