It's absolutely ideal for families. Lift tickets are reasonable and basically The entire side of Font Romeu is a learning slope -- perfect for beginners. The lifts there are the line lifts, not chairs, so if you snowboard you know what they're like... Avoid the cafe there, the lines are always long and the food mediocre. Also -- this is very important -- make sure you know when the gondola to town stops running or you will be hitchhiking back down. That's not a joke.

You won't be skiing the same floor twice. Very extensive network, long runs, had a superb dag skiing! Highly recommend!
Awesome place
Well equipped and varied (small) ski resort. Good for families and a (long) weekend. Go for lunch at Bistro \Col del Pam !
Spent last week at Font Romeu and want to congratulate the staff at allthe chairlifts on how helpful they were with my small grandchildren. What a difference it made knowing they were always there to help me.

I loved this place so much variety of food.
We spent a lot of time waiting for a waiter and he was very ugly with one of the kids. He told us we should ask him for anything else and the account and he disappeared. At the end, 20' later, we went to the bar to pay... will no back to this service...
