Six years flying to London from Biarritz airport. Today, after many years travelling from here and bringing food and liquids I’ve been told that I’m not allowed to wring food in cans plus liquids. I mentioned to security that I always wring that and they have called me “liar” for that. Such rude staff, incredible... I will fly from Bilbao from now on.
Clean, orderly and good social distancing especially at gates and when boarding - though there will always be one passenger who thinks rules don't apply. The place is short on hand sanitizer stations, so be sure to take your own. But much safer than the average supermarket or high street. Landside shops closed, but airside open. Lots of car parking space :-).
Clean but it is rather disconcerting to see such a recent airport with such a poorly designed security and boarding. - parents have to drop their pushchair before entering the boarding area (making it a pain to go through with a toddler). It also will get you inside the Arrival area (isn't that a security risk?!) - security is poorly configured itself with very limited space (you'll be patted/searched in the middle of this narrow space), convoluted journey, tables for you to off-load your baggage 4 meters away from the scanners. - boarding and security don't have any hand sanitizer available
Helpful staff. The lady spoke English. Easy check in. Security guy spoke English. Clean bathroom. Wifi good. Charged my phone. Peaceful morning before my flight. I like this airport!
