I understand the problems of small hotel owners during the Covid crisis and would be willing to make compromises — but this hotel acted highly questionable. After cancelling my reservation in full accordance with cancellation policies of booking.com, for months the owners didn't refund me or even contact me to discuss the issue. When I finally realized the problem and asked for the refund myself, in reply I was offered vouchers instead of the refund as the only option and was deflected with reference to French Covid policies (although I had made a fully cancellable reservation, without any relations to Covid). Only with the help of the reservation website, I will have an opportunity to get my 460 back. I find it inappropriate even for a small hotel to offer wide-reaching cancellation policies, to deduct a big amount in advance from a credit card and then to not give the money back when the costumer makes use of the cancellation terms both sides agreed upon (and which led to the reservation in the first place). Re to your answer: 1. You shouldn't offer the cancellation policy in the first place if you can't offer it due to French laws. 2. You shouldn't cash in the fee in advance if you are not able to monitor whether the guest actually arrived or has cancelled. 3. You should contact the guest yourself, before he has to contact you months later after checking that he is missing 460. 4. If all this is not possible for you, you would better not insist that a guest should arrange his travel plans in the next year or so in a way to get to your hotel to at least get value for his money.

Very friendly owners. Freshly picked Figs offered by owners were amazing. Pool is nice. Communal kitchen facilities might be better. Great location and overall we had a good time.

Excellent! Great pool, rooms have large terraces which are completely private. Modern kitchen and great shower, very comfortable room.

We stayed for 3 nights. Lovely room, very well equipped. We went to the pool on 2 afternoons and had it to ourselves. Lots of good restaurants about 300 metres away. The lake and the Gorge Verdon are magnificent. Also visited Villecroze and Cartignac. We plan to return some time.

Nous avons passé une semaine en famille avec nos deux enfants. Le lieu est formidable car il conjugue calme, bon goût mais dans une atmosphère très décontractée. Les logements sont aménagés avec soin et bon goût. La piscine, splendide, offre une vue imprenable sur la campagne environnante. Cindy et Dieter sont plein d'attention. Amoureux de la région, ils sont de bon conseil. Un lieu unique pour un séjour magique !

Maison d'hôte avec beaucoup de charme et très beau jardin. Chambres décorées avec beaucoup de goût, et nos hôtes, Dieter et sa femme, étaient adorables. Nous avons été très bien accueillis et avons profité pleinement de cette belle nuit/journée chez eux !
