Original and intriguing. Limited exposition are often very interesting and thought provoking. The very recent sneakers exposition exceeded my expectations. The location is a piece of history by itself and is worth knowing about.

Museum with friendly staff with many events organised. Take closer look to the details to discover how Bordeaux evolved through the centuries. My favourite part? The ceramics with painting of Bordeaux during the 18th century. Good visit!

Really cool temporary exhibition on japanese paper lanterns. Heard great things about their changing exhibitions, but check before you visit because the rest of the museum is a collection of old furniture, crockery and 'stuff' you would otherwise find when clearing out a very old household, would not recommend visiting the permanent exhibition.

Loved it. Not so much the decoration permanent collection but the exhibit in the old prison. What a treat it was.
