Great little quiet site, a stones throw from the town and Port area.
Although the hostess seemed a little gruff, the campsite was great, nice pitches and I enjoyed the history of the sunken German ship just off the water and walking through the small town behind the battlements up top.
Interesting place to visit. Don't miss the caves behind the waterfront park. They were used during WW II by the Germans to store fuel. They still stink of fuel today.
A lovely town site, on the banks of the river Gironde, sheltered under the Citadel, clean, safe, quiet a perfect two day rest on the way to Cadiz
Clean sanitary facilities, good price. Small camping site in a nice village, only disadvantages were the dusty road and hard ground (difficult to put a tent up but not impossible, just need a hammer and some patience).
Perfect location. In April was free. No electric but water and toilets ok. Lovely little village on the doorstep!
Wir haben hier am Fuße der Citadelle auf unserer Rückreise eine Nacht verbracht. Sehr freundliches Personal, ruhige Lage direkt an der Dordogne, mehrmals täglich wurde bei den Sanitäranlagen nach dem Rechten gesehen. Diese sind zwar schon etwas betagt, aber alles sehr sauber. Und das alles für kleines Geld. Wer dort stoppt sollte in jedem Fall auch die Citadelle und die Stadt besuchen. Wir kommen wieder
