Off season.. peaceful, but with enough people to keep most things open. Great beach, boardwalk and s good selection of cafes and restaurants.

This was a new port for P&O it was ok but nothing to write home about. Having said that we didn't have the opertunity to get around the town itself

Zero for customer service. We booked for three days in Calvi marina paying a deposit of 50% of the mooring fees to guarantee it. The weather forecast was high winds of 7 Beaufort and we wanted to be safe. Then the weather forecast changed and the high wind would continue for another 2 days. We tried to extend our stay for 2 days but that was refused by the marina. We had to change the itinerary to go to another marina who could take us for the full 5 days. Without that extension the booking for Calvi was useless because they would have booted us out in the middle of the storm. They refused to pay back the deposit even though they were unwilling to extend our stay. The Harbor people I talked to were unable to see this argument and didn’t see any unfairness in not returning the deposit despite the fact they refused to extend. In high season, demand is so great they can behave like total a**holes and they did.

One our worst marina experiences. Stupidly expensive for basically tieing off to a quayside with all the bars just feet away from along with people walking so close by they might as well have got into our cockpit. Facilities were a long walk and they expected you to pay to have a shower! Not included in the high charge. Give it a miss. Anchor up and come in by dinghy. Clearly they feel they do need to try. In 50 odd years of sailing I would say the visitor berths at this port are some of the worst I have ever experienced . They should have charged about 10 euros for what you got not 38 euros for a 10 metre boat. This was also their mid season rate! Just how do they keep getting away with it baffles me.
