A peaceful church where one can go to look at abstract stained glass windows. Light a candle at the statue of the black virgin of you want your hopes fulfilled. There are guide pages on how to interpret the art. The history of the church is quite fascinating. It has been destroyed and rebuilt many times over.

This church is a must! The windows are very unique, even though it looks like one more gothic church, the windows glass makes the difference. It was all made by the same artist almost 59 years ago and there is some information about it inside!

Basilique imposante et élégante dont la première pierre fut posée en 1499 pour accueillir une nette augmentation de population réfugiée à Mézières à l'issue du massacre de Liège trente ans plus tôt. Ce lieu de culte est réputé pour ses vitraux modernes réalisé par le peintre René Dürrbach. Victime des guerres de 1870-1871, 1914-1918 et 1939-1945 seul un vitrail ancien subsiste aujourd'hui.
