This is a very accessible place, and I'm sure the museum and tasting services are as delightful as the person operating the shop. Unfortunately, with the current pandemic restrictions, they cannot do any tastings, and you cannot currently view the museum. However, if I get a chance to come back here during better times I will definitely visit again. I just really appreciated how welcoming the person was, even knowing she could not offer much. I also love that there is not only parking, but that both the parking lot and the museum have wheelchair and hearing impaired accessible accommodations. These are important actions by any place of business that show their commitment to making sure what is offered is not just for a few. While I know the smaller shops in the city center really cannot offer these same things due to location and size, the historic preservation of the city buildings and streets likely make this impossible for those shops. However, Museum Brotte chose their location and chose to make it accessible, and those choices speak to the character of the business. So, while I couldn't even taste the wine, I did purchase a bottle. And while I couldn't even experience the museum, I am giving them 5 stars, for just being stellar humans in such difficult times.

Highly recommended place for those who wants to find out a lot about local wine production within a short free visit!

The BROTTE museum is an amazing place with a ton of information regarding Châteauneuf du Pape appellation, grape varieties, winemaking, Brotte vineyards, etc... The wine tasting was driven by one of their sommelier at the wine shop… I strongly recommend to taste their Domaine Barville red 2016 and the Secret Barville red.. Outstanding wines :)

This is a great place to learn about Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines as Brotte is one of the largest producers and their wines are among the most exported from this region in France. In fact, Brotte's La Fiole du Pape is the best selling Châteauneuf-du-Pape in the world. After an audio guided tour which takes about 45 mins, you'll have an opportunity to try from 3-5 different wines. All in all, a very enjoyable experience and a great way to get an education about the region and why it is such a great place to produce wine. Most of the wines they sell from the current year are not ready for drinking for another 10-15 years... buy a couple of bottles and put them away for a special occasion in the future.

A nice little free museum with an audio tour. There is a tasting afterwards and a chance to buy their wine. We got a few bottles and even the 8 euro ones were somewhat above the bar for their price.

Excellent wine museum explaining wine making process as well as three Brotte wine selection tastings. The museum visit as well as wine tasting takes up to one hour.

I've been to 3 wine museums now, and this is the best by far. It was informative and interesting to me, had many artifacts of winemaking from the 1300s to today, and seemed to have just the right amount of information. Plus it was free and the wine tasting was free, which isn't always the case.
