Sometime you take a risk with the chance of fulfilling a dream - it all seems worth it - then everything falls apart. That’s what happened when Covid 19 curtailed our move to our new home we built in Provence. We risked it all to have the life we wanted. Our lifeline was John, Kat, Tina and Charlotte. When we were beside ourselves with anxiety - they spoke to us and calmed us down. When our furniture was stuck in warehouses in several countries , they arranged delivery. When we had problems with customs and duty fees on 68 boxes we shipped to France, they took care of it all. They hooked up our utilities, negotiated with our builder, interceded on our behalf with FedEx, helped us to communicate in a new language and with new rules, all while never loosing the perspective of who we are and what we want. They provided sound advise and acted quickly to remove obstacles. They did all this while remaining warm and calm and efficient. We are forever grateful for their assistance. Without it, we would have given up.
John and his Team made our move to France an enjoyable one. A stressful experience was made much less so by John's efficiency and helpfulness. Nothing was too much trouble no job too small. Everything was done professionally and with quality. I highly recommend John.
we moved to France in 2013. My wife spoke the language , I was having lessons. In Early 2015 my wife went to the UK to care for her mum and was gone for most of the year. I stayed in France . I found it a struggle and could only speak very poor French. Then I saw a ad for please help.fr ,got in touch and John replied .He helped me through everything and even offered to pick me up early one morning to enable me to meet a hospital appointment. We are still with them and would not be without them.

Where do I start? As a woman over 65 moving alone to France, I needed help with everything — gathering documents, finding a place to live, shopping for doctors, plumbers, a car, insurance, trips to immigration office appointments, banking, and more. Please Help was there every step of the way, even when I was stranded at a train station in Bordeaux at midnight with no hope of a taxi, on a mountaintop driving the wrong way in Provence, when I drove into a sinkhole in the Languedoc, when a speeding ambulance tore off my car door. Hospital reimbursements, French taxes, Syndic disputes, property purchase. They have done it all for and with me. I simply cannot imagine life in France without Please Help.
I can’t recommend Please Help enough! John Dislins is amazing. He helped me enormously with my application for French naturalisation with the answer to all my questions - and more - at his fingertips. It certainly relieved a lot of pressure and made life much easier. Thanks John for all your help and time. Merci beaucoup. And guess what - I have now acquired French citizenship.
First of all this review is not going anyway! I have tried to contact you via your chat option on your website to inform you that you are no longer my tenant and ceased to be so from the 24th of August 2020. i asked you to update your website and to remove my address from it no avail. Also i noticed that you had put a message on there stating that you were on reduced staff as from the 10th to the 14th of August just for the week , but looking again today it still remains, it looks as if the site has been abandoned. You are now threatening me with possible legal action if I don't remove my review, I really don't think this is good business practice for your future clients to see. please get your affairs in order and remove my address!
