Beautifully located. The views are fantastic. When we went it was pleasantly busy but still plenty of space on the outside terrace.

Warm cosy log house on top of col d'iraty. Good stop of point on a road trip

Who would imagine a first rate restaurant at the top of the mountain! I was there twice at the end of June with a group of friends. We were very pleasantly surprised at every meal by the look and taste(heavenly) of the dishes. From entering the restaurant (yey,wi-fi works!) the atmosphere of coming home seizes you, along with the fireplace and the friendly dog of the owner. Very good choice of wines to go with the pavé de saumon that was excellent. But the view from the terrace beats it all. Recommend to all the hikers on the GR10, or even vacationers in the Chalets d'Irate.

Fantastic location but too busy on the day we visited and the language barrier was too much to overcome, shame as it was a beautiful day and the food looked okay but the lack of bi_ lingual staff meant no lunch for us.
