A bit overpriced for the, albeit nice, cloister garden.

A look at the life of a Cistercian abbey from the 12th through the 20th centuries (with a decided focus on the first 500 years) The most interesting thing, by far, about the abbey is its architecture that is called "flamboyant Gothic". The audio-guide tour focuses on the relationship between architecture and the spiritual life of the abbey but does not effectively connect these elements to the lives and humanity of the monks and the abbots who populated the abbey and who were gone in the midst of the French revolution around 1791. Consequently for me, the tour was dry and lifeless and and the details forgettable. The architecture is worth a look but only if you have exhuasted the other POI of the Dordogne including the pleasure of cruising slowly through the beautiful countryside.

A really interesting audio guided tour. We'll worth a visit.

Nice cloister, but an astonishing rip off for an entrance fee of 7.10. That gets you access to a single courtyard with one room with information boards.

An excellent audio guide in English, easy to use and entertaining. The Cloisters are exceptionally well maintained, with lots on differing architecture as you navigate the 4 sides. There is easy access and lots of seats to use whilst listening to the commentary or admiring the views.

Far more history here than one would suspect from the exterior, and a wonderful English speaking guide for our tour.
