An amazing place to visit. Very well maintained. Every angle you see becomes a perfect wallpaper, especially times around sunset. Just completely speechless. You can walk across the bridge connecting The two sides just before sunset and take pictures along the way back.

This is absolutely a place that anyone can't miss when traveling to France. Don't be afraid of the multi-legs transit process. The transportation process from Paris is a lot easier than expected. Every angle is stunning in this place from outside to inside. I recommend to stay a night there, enjoy the antique atmosphere at night as well as taking a chance to look at the sun-rise at the beach.

Nice place to visit. But it is overcrowded and also not up to the hype it gets in the media and on the internet.

Make this beautiful place a must see on your itinerary! The views are breath-taking and I even found myself watching high tide come in. The walk all the way up is completely worth it!

The church is located on the top of the hill and you get a very beautiful view from up there. The cloister is the most beautiful part and there are some very interesting wall sculptures that you can admire.

The monastery itself is very impressive and not to be missed. Approaching via the new pedestrian bridge gives stunning views. We walked via the bridge on the way back, on the way to the abbey, we rool the shuttle bus. And here's what spoiled the trip: the shuttle was packed with people, actually it waited until it was completely full before departing. Nobody counted the number of passengers or checked the distance between people. This is unacceptable during COVID-19 and makes taking the shuttle a health risk. There was a sign on the bus that reminded passengers to keep 1m distance on the bus, however under the conditions we experienced that was impossible. If you visit, consider walking to the abbey or taking a horse carriage. The French government is indirectly running the monastery, I would appeal to them to not unnecessarily risk public health and put better transport measures in place!

Beautiful monastery and courtyard. It has a terrace with a viewpoint over the bay even though there's not much to see since the attraction is the island itself.
