During this class I enjoyed talking about the news because I am not sure we are used to regularly follow what happens throughout the world given our workload. I think it will encourage me in the long term to watch them more. Overall, it was a nice English class. Thank you.

I really enjoyed the debating part of the class, I thought it was interesting to listen to the others' arguments and to have the opportunity to express ourselves. Also, I really think that the part with the breaking news comment/ the \what did you read this week ?\ was good to get news from different topics and viewpoints that occur all around the world. In general, I really liked the class !

These lessons were very different from what I used to have in lycée. I really felt independent in the choice of articles to present and in my personal organization. Good and respectful atmosphere. Very interesting debates even if I didn't participate so much.So I have a very positive vision of this class. Thank you !

Regarding our English class I really enjoyed it. Mainly because of the debates I felt like it was not just an English class because I learned many things. Generally the debates were really interesting. Moreover, I was able to use the knowledge of my other classes at Sciences Po so there was a parallel between theory and « real » topics. Also the structure of the class was really good because I was never bored. The fact that we were even debating about the news made the lesson less « scholar » and more interesting. During my bachelor I had English classes but I was not able to talk as much and we had no freedom regarding the subjects. It was a real change for me first quite challenging because I was not used to really « talk » anymore but now I feel more comfortable to express my point of view.

I'd just like to say that I liked the rather unconventional format of the class where we can build up some vocabulary by reading and asking questions without it being formal.I also find pleasant the fact that class is more of a discussion-time so that we can hear other people's opinion on various topics. Lastly, the idiomatic expressions exercises were I thought very useful because some of them are used a lot and it helps gaining in authenticity when talking with native speakers.

I really appreciate the organization of the course. The debates were really interesting. It is rare in an English class to be able to participate and talk this much. I learnt a lot about different interesting topics.

At first, I thought the class would be boring because I have never enjoyed my English classes at Sciences Po. But honestly i like your class a lot. I like the fact that we discuss the news. It is fortunate that we do not have to do presentations on tedious topics (e.g. Trump’s policy, The Brexit, etc). It has allowed me to keep practicing my English and it’s been quite entertaining.

Overall, I enjoyed the class. As far as I am concerned my favorite activity was the debates I appreciated them. I did also enjoyed finding news every week it forced me to keep up with information to read articles and not only read the notifications I receive but to go further.I did not mind doing IELTS exercise even though I don't have to do the IELTS this year they were still good practice. The only thing I did not particularly enjoy was grammar but we have a love-hate relationship and I do understand the need to do those exercises and practice. I really enjoyed this class and course! Thank you for this semester! Thank you.
