WOW!!! What an incredible place. The day we went they didn’t charge entrance fees. We speak a little French so had a personal tour from one of the guys there. There was also another tour happening in English. There is also a section on the history of Lille. How it evolved and the defences were built up over the years.

I had high expectations, but unfortunately the museum is not that well organized and most explanations are only available in French. It's an old place which could be more nicely organized or decorated.

A small museum with an interesting collection for those interested in history, and military history especially. It was kind of sad to see how this place has been built around and now feels a bit forgotten about.

Très beau musée !!! J'ai apprécié la visite guidé avec le Président. Effectivement, il n'y a pas beaucoup de salles, à vrai dire à ce jour il n'y en a que deux de disponible pour la visite. Le tour peut être vite fait si elle n'est pas guidée, mais, pour 5 , guidé ou pas, ce musée a le mérite de nous présenter une superbe collection de tableaux, armes et accessoires datant des guerres passés. Guidée, on apprend plein de petites choses. Si vous passez par Lille un samedi, prenez le temps pour passer par là !
