As an American student looking for lodging before even reaching Nancy, Les Académies Lorraines seemed to be the only secure option I could find. The rooms were definitely nice and new, but the rent was still very expensive and not worth it. They also still owe me some money from my security deposit, about 40 euros that I did not receive despite having a perfect Etat de lieu before moving out in early May. I have even emailed them multiple times about this, once receiving a response that they would check on it, still no update. Once, the plaque (stove top) in my room went out and they gave me an electric one while they ordered a new one. It didn't work very well and it took two weeks to get a new one ordered and installed. This overpriced residence also charges 5euros per load of laundry, and you cannot put your own soap in and this was a problem for me as my sensitive skin developed rashes. The gym is subpar, and only 2-3 people can work out in it maximum, and even that feels a little crowded. The ambience is not super close and friendly like it might be in other student residences, because it is a private residence and there are students of all different ages and schools living in it. Leila, a kind secretary, was always very kind and helpful to me, even through my beginner level French. The lady with the curly red hair was decent, but didn't seem exactly pleased to help me. I was very pleased with the actual apartment and its proximity to my faculty, but it was overall very pricey and I might have had a better experience if I had rented an apartment elsewhere with a roommate.

On appelle pour réserver : la personne eue au téléphone nous dit que des T2 sont disponibles immédiatement. Nous perdons du temps à faire un dossier complet et deux jours après, une autre conseillère nous informe qu'aucun logement n'est disponible ! Résidence non fiable et incompétence latente...

Séjour de 3 nuits, appartement bien agencé, fonctionnel, mise à dispo d'un lit parapluie. Le chauffage indiv est réglable. Parking sécu. Pas de gêne de bruit. Seul point neg la chambre et les draps sentaient la cigarette . Très bon qualité/prix.

Résidence d'apparence neuve. Mais derrière tout ça que des problèmes d'eau chaude ( coupures 2 voir 3 fois par semaines !) De plus, une comptabilité médiocre, loc habitat me doit de l'argent que je ne recois toujours pas. N'y allez pas, rapport qualité prix inexistant!
