: Beautiful chalet and surroundings! -: Owners are too parano and lack basic communication skills (please dont use corona as an excuse, just wear a mask and come talk to us instead of spamming whatsapp while we live next door). Be prepared to live next to them and be/feel observed all the time. Owners should make it more explicit that this is not a location but a museum where you have to be quiet all the time and not touch anything. Please, we get it that you love your chalet, but we didnt break it, did we ? Stop renting it or stop doing this to people that come to enjoy vacation time with friends!

Superb family owned and run catered chalet in peaceful location. Excellent transport links, incredibly warm & hospitable staff who understand what it takes to provide excellent service. Restaurant quality food, locally sourced & absolutely 100% home made. Interesting wine cellar with sensible pricing. Comfortable & well appointed rooms which are fastidiously cleaned. Beautiful fire place & reception room, ski locker, hot tub. What more could you possibly want? Have already booked to return next year. Thank you Mitch, Anne, Bethan & Lukasz for making our trip so enjoyable.

The chalet is beautiful but I won't ever stay there again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The chalet is the owner's main residence and, when guests occupy it, they move to a smaller one next door. They are so worried about their place that they can't resist the urge to communicate new rules every day. The amount of rigidity and control of it all adds a tremendous amount of stress during the stay and shows how unsuited the owners are at running an Airbnb business. Worst of all, be very careful about leaving the bathrooms partially cleaned or dirt stains on the towels because, on top of the cleaning costs already included in the rental (150 euros), they won't hesitate to add an unreasonable amount of extra charges for cleaning (the rules don't state in any place that you should clean the floor or the bathrooms before leaving) and "damaged" items. Be very careful to not leave any cracks in their 1 euro Ikea glasses, which they will gladly ask 6 euros for.

This is an amazing place to stay. This was actually our 3rd visit and we’ve already booked for a 4th. The rooms are beautifully finished with space and comfort. The food is restaurant quality. The whole family are very welcoming and great fun. Samoens itself has a huge amount to offer, summer or winter. I can’t recommend it enough.

We stayed here with our 20 guests from the US for a week for our wedding - it was truly a fantastic experience. Bethan, Lukasz, Mitch, and Ann have a beautiful and comfortable setup and went well beyond our expectations. Each room is beautify appointed, clean, and comfortable. Each morning we were greeted with a delicious breakfast and each night a professionally cooked home made French meal. The rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony and reception were all held on the property and were beautiful, professional, and unforgettable. We highly recommend staying here for your wedding or really any vacation! We hope to be back one day!

Between the place, the chalet, the food and the environment it is not easy to highlight an odd characteristic. Thus, I would like to highlight a unique and warm welcome with which we were received by the family (Mitch, Ann, Bethan and Lukas) and especially the unparalleled availability demonstrated by Mitch, clearly facilitating our lives and that of the other "friends" (other guests) who were there. It goes without saying that it should be in short list of places for any person that apart from love ski also values staying in a more personal environment and different from a normal hotel.
