Really liked this concept, where students of the Bucose culinary school (wo)man the kitchen and dish out the hospitality in the front of the house. A lovely dinner overall. My starter #1 (a flash-seared tuna crudo overlain on a citrus-infused, Middle Eastern eggplant baba ganoush) was interesting, but had a bit of a harsh bitter undertone that was somewhat off putting. Starter #2 - a foie gras - was world class, perfectly cooked, seasoned, and plated. My lamb main - accompanied by a coriander hummus and crispy chickpea fries - was well conceived and quite well executed (esp the meat) but, once again, the flavors didn’t all fuse harmoniously, at least for me. Finished with selections from the cheese cart, which was getting a bit anemic by the end of the night when it swung by for me. Fun and very reasonably priced wine selection, including a good selection of wines by the glass. Service was attentive and joyous. The students - and my server in particular - were knowledgeable and really seemed to enjoy what they were doing. And they could snap from French to quite fluent English with a snap of the fingers. So what scale do you rate this on? 3* Michelin as earned by their mentor would be a bit harsh. Clearly everyone is still learning, but you can sense the raw material and talent are there. It’s a great time for sure. And a great value. But it pulls up short of a 1* Michelin experience, at least for me. Well recommended.

Un excellent repas avec une carte digne d'un très bon restaurant au prix d'une brasserie. Le cadre est moderne et original, l'équipe agréable et le service efficace. Les assiettes vont faire vibrer les adeptes de porn food sur Instagram ;) Seul point noir au tableau : il ne faut pas oublier de réserver en avance le weekend si vous souhaitez de la place ! Une de mes adresses incontournables à Lyon pour bien manger !
