We've taken bike tours in many European cities and this was, hands down, the best one we've ever been on! Simon was absolutely incredible as an energetic, funny, informative, engaging guide and took us through hidden courtyards, parks and paths along the Seine, past the most picture worthy spots, and was full of fascinating stories and hilarious lesser known facts at stops all across Paris. We had a group of 7 that included adults, teenagers and even a 10 year old, and they had various sized bikes for everyone, all of which said that this was their very favorite day and activity in Paris. We will definitely book one of their other tours on our next visit!

The cycling tour of Versailles was a lot of fun and well organized. The format of the tour is to take the train to Versailles then cycle the grounds and tour Marie-Antoinette's Estate and Marie-Antoinette Hamlet, which was a mock peasant village and eat lunch by the Grand Canal of Versailles. Then in the late afternoon you turn in the bikes and tour the Palace of Versailles on your own. This allows you to avoid most of the crowds queuing to get in and take as much time as you want in the palace.
An amazing bike tour, with great views of the city with minimal excercise, good bikes and a great route through the city, but our guide, Rachel, made the tour. Her entertaining narrative of the building and story of Paris along with the famous space invaders set this tour apart. A brilliant idea for a few hours to get an idea of the some of the history of the city, and see the best sights with a Parisian’s inner secrets. Thank you Rachel!
9 Girls done this on a friends Hen weekend. Our tour guide Phil was amazing. We had so much fun! The company definitely got our 'vibe' and kept the trip young, fun and entertaining. We stopped for some wine at the Louvre and also for a quick sandwich along the way. I would recommend this company to anyone. Very professional and easy to book. The coffee shop when you meet is nice too.

We had a wonderful time in Versailles! Mark, our guide, was beyond excellent! He was informative and hilarious to boot. He gave great recommendations at the market where we picked up picnic supplies and also gave a great history lesson when we got to the grounds. He kept us on schedule so we could most of our time. I would highly recommend Bike About Tours to anyone looking for a memorable experience.
Was it a nice experience, absolutely! Was it overpriced, 100%. I expected a lot more based on the good reviews which may have been my mistake but considering it was a champagne tour where the emphasis was on champagne I expected to get more than the equivalent of one glass of champagne (wasn’t expecting to get a buzz but most people could handle a little more over 6 hours) The trip was not very well organized with a lot of waiting around which was a little disappointing as well, I would recommend the company have bikes prepared before arrival instead of waiting around for 45 minutes. The guide was very knowledgeable about champagne and the region and I appreciated all the information he provided. It also does take away any need to plan. Would I recommend this trip to a friend? I would recommend to just rent bikes from Epernay and do my own sightseeing.
I’m so happy that I chose Bike About Tours to do both the daytime tour of Paris and the Twilight Tour. I was pretty nervous about riding in a busy city like Paris as I don’t ride bikes at home, but our guide, Simon, was very reassuring and kept us safe and informed about the route as we went along. The tour was a perfect mix of history and fun stories and it was just so wonderful to gently ride through this beautiful city with a careful guide who took great care of everyone. I loved this, it was fantastic! Good Job, Simon!!
