Beautiful Parish Church, the entrance door has statues of saints on each side and above the door is a sculpture of Christ sitting on the throne and under him the Virgin Mary with the twelve apostles. Inside is the font were St. Bernadette was baptised. Lovely side alters a statue of St Peter holding the key to the gates of heaven, the main alter is also lovely as are the glass stained windows with scenes from the bible.

This is original catholic church in Lourdes. When we visited there it’s under the repairing inside so, only could take a look outside and some part of inside. It’s a beautiful one. In front of the middle gate you can see 4 status. One is Jeanne d’arc, another is of course Bernadette and, two more saints (male). Inside you can see the place where st bernadette got baptism. It means the church is the one st bernadette came to the mass also. If you go Lourdes, visit here. Beautiful place.
The parish Church in the time of St Bernadette (to whom the Blessed Virgin appeared in 1858) was a few yards away and this is a newer construction. However, it has the font where St Bernadette was baptised, together with an enlarged photo of the entry in the parish baptismal register. The Church is fairly plan, but dignified, and there are some delightful stained glass windows telling the story of the apparitions. The windows feature the parish priest of St Bernadette's time, Mgr Peyramale; there is also a statue of him outside the Church.

L Église Paroissiale Sacré Coeur se trouve place de l église à LOURDES Quand on y est au pied , elle est majestueuse Quand tout les travaux seront terminés, elle sera encore plus belle encore On peut pas y rentrer, il y à que la crypte qui est accessible Dommage car il y avait beaucoup de fidèles qui venaient si recueillir surtout pendant la saison ALORS BONNE PRIÈRE
Tres belle paroisse. Tres acceullant .et tres reposant. Les prêtres tres gentil et très serviable
