From all the beaches at Lac de Vassivière, I think this is the most beautiful. Lots of parking space, good restaurant and nice sandy beach to linger all day. Spent a full day here and was not dissapointed. This place offers enough opportunities to go out swimming, canoeing, kayaking or SUP.

Beautiful setting, activities to do but when it is really hot just sitting about in the sun on sand by a massive lake is the tops. They have a bit of a bar/food outlet, not tried but prices reasonable. Quieter areas of beach available if you walk a little but also a more public area nearer the bar/food outlet which is also lovely if you want to socialise. Restricted bathing area for children by the looks of things. All in all a beautiful little place. Near by camp-sites/village with disco and even (Aug 2016) an Indian Restaurant. Gem of a place.
