We stopped here after after a particularly difficult journey from Calais 16 years ago (the map had not downloaded on the satnav). The facilities were excellent and it was a naturally beautiful place to stop. Despite being ostensibly just a place for travellers and vehicles to refuel the building and service area respectfully dealt with the context of their surroundings. My Dad and I were taken aback when we realised where we had stopped. It was both sobering and heartening to see such an infamous area returned to beauty and tranquillity. As Brits it was beyond comprehension that it should be a service station - there was no comparison with our own brash and ill considered facilities. I've never forgotten the experience. I would recommend visiting, both for the quality service offering and also the beauty of the buildings/surroundings.

This service area is fantastic and we are repeat offenders. We always park away from the shops / toilets as we have a dog , lots of space for her to have a wander too. The toilets are always clean and the walk across the water is gorgeous at any time of the year (although in winter it’s sometimes coned off as it’s slippery). It’s worth a visit and a thought or two for our hero’s .

This is always a good stopping place, the last one to stop on your way back to UK an hour or so away from Calais. There is a good choice of food and plenty of tables looking out onto the canal, which is also nice to relax by for a minute outside of the building. It is always a good reminder of the past and a pause for thought for those who perished here to ensure our freedom today.

Wonderfully place for break! There is everything you need! Parking place for trucks, showers, Starbucks, Pizza hut, Shopping area! There is also a mini park (good for walking ) and place for children’s! Is brilliant to see in water big fish (see foto) ! I recommended 100%!

I stop there on my way to Rouen. It is a typically picturesque French motorways services. Save it for your break. You will not regret it. Enjoy the wildlife on site. It is the beginning of your vacation.

We stopped here to fill up the car and our bellies. Conveniently situated on a motorway. They have a decent selection of foods to choose from and toilets to use.. a good number of tables and benches outside certainly made the stop more pleasant.

I love this place but today the stream was drained as I think they are working on it. Bonus was we saw loads of men in suits wearing guns going into get coffee. Very exciting!

I lovely stop on our way down to the south of France. The Service has everything for a short stop from fuel, food and great viewing deck. A lovely lake that you walk across and massive fish come say hi. Kids loved it. Saw some interesting motor in the parking lot too
