We stayed here for a week in late September and had a great time cycling and eating delicious food, both at the Cheval Blanc (Natalie is an outstanding vegan/vegetarian cook) and restaurants that Peter recommended, both in and out of town. In town, Auberge de Sens is fabulous--we went twice and the quality of the food was top notch. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and one came with gorgeous views of the village rooftops and surrounding cliffs. Breakfasts were invariably delicious, as was the fresh ground/brewed coffee. The inn is located in the center of St. Antonin and thus very convenient to everything in this beautiful village. The level of service Peter, in particular, provided was beyond expectation. He curated each day's bike route based on our preferences, downloaded it onto GPS and sent us on our way. His routes took us to a medieval abbey, several castles, an artisanal goat cheese farm, and through numerous (always 15th century or older) villages and towns. His recommendations for restaurant stops along the way were always spot on. To the extent that Peter's outstanding brand of innkeeping isn't unique to him, this trip will become a model for future vacations in France, where the host becomes a virtual tour guide to the 60-70km radius around the home base village. The only challenge may be finding someone with Peter's intimate knowledge of the surrounding communities and generosity in sharing with guests. Happy to do this again with different bike routes!

We enjoyed a five day self-guided break at St Antonin Noble Velo in October. Taking a train to Figeac, we followed a brilliant route to St Antonin Noble Val that Peter provided to us in advance of our trip, taking in the beautiful Cere Valley, St Cirq-Lapopie and the Causses du Quercy Natural Regional Park en route to St Antonin Noble Val. In the following days Peter mapped out day rides for us through peaceful countryside to lovely villages including Castelnau-de-Montmiral, Cordes-sur-Ciel and Espinas. We even had a day out of the saddle and enjoyed a relaxing paddle down the Aveyron River in canoes. Peter's knowledge of the area was immensely helpful for finding the quietest and most scenic routes and also the best spots for refreshment. Being new visitors to France, we weren't yet familiar with the custom of cafes shutting at 2pm and so would recommend either getting an early start or taking your own food. Speaking of food, Nathalie's vegetarian cookery was outstanding and we can highly recommend it.We also went to a couple of local restaurants; Auberge de Sens was excellent as was Le Capharnaum but in a more rustic kind of way. Based on our experience, we can recommend the self-guided tours at St Antonin Noble Val if you are looking for a holiday in a beautiful and quiet part of the country. The beauty of a self-guided trip is that it can be as active or relaxing as you choose and having a fixed base allows one to get better acquainted with a region, and the Aveyron is well worth exploring.

Spent a week with Saint Antonin Noble Velo and thoroughly enjoyed it. Based in a beautiful town of St Antonin with fantastic countryside for riding on very quiet safe roads. Peter has a vast array of different rides that he has ridden and recorded for use on a GPS device tailored to your needs. I am not a vegan but totally enjoyed the breakfasts that were again tailored to suit the cyclist about to embark on a day’s riding. The room we had was excellent with plenty of space and an en suite. I would definitely recommend a stay at this B & B and will be returning at some point.

A really superb B&B run by Peter and Natalie. Lovely rooms, fantastic vegetarian dinners and typical French breakfast. Peter is always on hand to offer advice on suitable cycle routes in the area. A really lovely place to stay and fantastic cycling in the area too. We will be back again very soon.
