I spent a wonderfully inspirational week on an artist residency at Ursula's ArtSpace Gites and I can't recommend it enough. The luminous village of Fontaine-Daniel was an absolute delight and will be providing inspiration for many new paintings to come. The Gite itself was clean and beautifully appointed with gorgeous artwork from local artists and a story to go with every object. Ursula's warm personality and passion for art made my stay unforgettable. Highly recommended for artists and travellers alike.
Had a great stay. It was the perfect getaway. The gîte is beautifully decorated and features artwork from local artists. The picturesque village has everything you need and it's the perfect place to stroll around and explore the local area. We were treated to a tour of the village by the host (thank you Ursula!) which added a special touch to the whole experience. Looking forward to another visit!
Very special place to stay for a while. Beautifully decorated, spacious gite in a building with much history. Ursula is fun and intelligent and willing to share her local knowledge. Something a little different! Recommended
Immaculately clean, self-catering accommodation. Set in a beautiful, secluded but very welcoming village. Lots of history and peace and quiet.
This place is just amazing. Incredible location with lots of history and quirky stories. Love the Abbey that is now a home to cows. The place itself is decorated amazingly stylishly and there were so many delightful little touches that just made the whole ecperience magical. Highly recommend it.
Knowledgeable host who took us on a tour of the village which ended up in the fantastic organic épicerie which is in the building next door. Got to enjoy an impromptu concert there with 2 people playing accordian and banjo. Really special weekend!
Will come back in summer. Loved the village of Fontaine-Daniel. Everyone really friendly and helpful.
