I don't understand the previous post. The owner, as they say, speaks little English. I had no trouble with the communication. I'm from Australia and my French is indeed minimal, but I found the owner charming and hospitable. The campsite is rustic. But wonderful. Quiet and leafy. With a wonderful pool. The price is very reasonable and the owner is the winegrower. I have yet to taste the wine but am looking forward to his wine and his company
The campground is as described, and photos are accurate. It seems rural and quiet. However we wouldn’t recommend it for people who do not speak French well. We wanted to look at several campsites before choosing one, and we had to get groceries before setting up camp, but we think we offended the owner (when we told him that), who became hostile and we had difficulty explaining ourselves— even with Google Translate. We’ve camped at 5 other French campsites over the past month without issue, so this made us uncomfortable and we decided to stay elsewhere. We think this would be a fine campsite but from our experience we think perhaps they have little patience for non-French speakers or people who are comparing campsites.
Probably the best camping spot at the val de loire area. Great camping park in the middle of little villages and an outstanding district. Wonderful. The camping place is total friendly and the park is beautifull. Enough space for everyone. Very calm. Very clean. A bit like a magical garden. There's a pool, too. And you can discover the closer area around the camping space. Absolutely brilliant.
Great area, loads to see, site is peaceful. Large pitches at the top of vineyard, lots of shade from oak trees or full sun pitches. Facilities basic but clean, swimming pool in high season , owner very friendly ,you will need some french. Second year we've been here and can see the renovation work he has started to do. 25minute walk to local village. Great if you like peaceful site with loads of birds, butterflies etc. If you want entertainment, restaurant and takeaway go elsewhere, but we will definitely return as love the location and peacefulness and the friendly owners wine.
Nice and quiet camping near woods. Basic sanitary facilities, but clean enough. They have a bar where you can order beera and taste local wine from their neighboring château and order your croissant and baguette for the next morning. They have open pitches and shaded ones. No mobile homes. Swimming pool is open from 13:00-19:00. But you can jump the fence if you want, at your own risk ofcourse :D
Absolutely lovely site with wild herbs in the grass and so peaceful. Owners really friendly, facilities are basic but immaculate. Wonderful stay!
In my view, campsite perfection. Wilfrid, the host, could not have been kinder.
