Amazing historical place. The aqueduct bridge is truly an engineering marvel of its time (1st century) and very well preserved till date. There are numerous tunnels surrounding the area as well which can be explored. Various activities are conducted here during the summer which make the place look almost magical.

I had an amazing afternoon walking all around The aqueduct and the paths leading to it. I was staying in the nearby campsite, so luckily didn’t have to pay the steep prices that many complain of in the car park. There is a great walk all around so don’t restrict yourself to just the museum area. I went in the museum but I’m not sure that it’s worth the price. Sorry to the curators. They are also going for the dim lighting effect in the museum itself, which for some reason makes me feel like running for the nearest exit, I don’t think I’m alone in this estimation. If you have kids, take a picnic and go and sit by the river and wonder at this wonderful marvel that was built 2000 years ago. It is truly a great spectacle with a really enriching atmosphere. Thank you to all that has been involved in preserving it.

It's an amazing place with mysterious tunels. You will walk on the glorious roman path. You will be taken in a storm of love and fantasy.

The architecture along with the entire atmosphere is amazing! The size is astonishing and to think it was made thousands of years ago makes it even more. It is very calm, what really caught my eye was the shadow that it had on the river, it really shows how massive this structure is compare to anything else. If you have the opportunity to go there I strongly recommend it!

Engineering masterclass! Incredible structure. The aqueduct passes a beautiful spot over the River which is great to come and swim and cool off on a summer day. You can park for free down the road as you approach and it’s just a short walk.

A spectacular example of Roman engineering. Most people will drive here (it's hard to get here any other way to be honest), and there is a charge to exit the car park. However, parking is free for local residents - bring your ID and proof of address for each person, not just for the car driver. I came just after it reopened to the public after being closed for Covid-19, so there were not too many visitors. Masks were compulsory in the museum but not in the open air. The museum explains much of what you see, but I would still have liked better explanations of how the Romans knew that they needed to build the entire aqueduct - 50 km - with just a 12 metre drop. The museum was also poorly lit and many of the exhibits were closed for hygiene reasons. The aqueduct itself is great. You can walk across the lower section of the bridge (added in the Napoleonic era) and can climb up the hill to see views from the top. It is no longer possible to walk across the top of the aqueduct itself. There is a restaurant and cafe, open again, though a little expensive. I recommend taking a picnic lunch and eating down by the river!

A great Roman achievement to get water into Nimes piped with a minimal grade.
