Now featuring a modern museum alongside the post-war formal memorial/crypt and the extensive hiking loop of the battlefield trench works and memorials on the mountain top. The area is worth a full-day of exploration to see and experience what these men endured during the savage combat high in the Vosges above the Alsatian plain.

Særdeles spændende. Kirkegården gør et stort indtryk. Interessant at opleve de forhold soldaterne boede og kæmpede under. Fantastisk natur og udsigt. Absolut et besøg værd også for større børn.
Site parfaitement aménagé pour se souvenir de ce que pouvait être l'attrocite de la grande guerre. Hommage.

Questo sito ospita uno dei quattro monumenti nazionali dedicati alla Grande Guerra. Sono proposti due circuiti di visita che consentono di comprendere meglio la storia del sito: una salita di 30min al Vieil Armand (nome francese dell'Hartmannswillerkopf) fino alla grande croce oppure un percorso di 2 ore e mezza fra le trincee e gli ex ripari. La caratteristica di questa montagna è la sua posizione strategica: dalla sua cima è infatti possibile osservare la pianura alsaziana e per questo motivo fu oggetto di aspre battaglie per la sua conquista.
