This is a terrible hotel!!! I have booked for six days and just late for 1 hour. This hotel has cancelled my booking and do not repay my money back and again rent it to another person. This hotel should not open anymore. The law must sanction such fraud!!! More details: I have mentioned that I will be late for several times after I booked and before my airplane delay. What this hotel do is just stressing that I need to check-in before 18:30. I already told them that I could check-in tommorrow. But they just cancel my booking. What this hotel wants to do is just to earn more money but not care the consumer. I had to book another hotel in Marseille for my travel. This is a terrible experience I never met in Europe.

Scam! This faulty hotel or studio or whatever their preferred work for it is, tried to charge us more than twice, then when our bank blocked the additional charges, they sent us a mail that our card is invalid and that the reservation is canceled. Funnily enough they didn't bother to cancel it through booking and despite our card being invalid, we still got charged. Booking is currently trying to resolve the issue for us but I'm having doubts we'll get our money back. The property is not responding to any of our calls. The number provided in the reservation seems suspicious and is linked to phone scams in France, after checking thoroughly. The one you can find via google is just as unresponsive. I respect another shameful response from the owner like all of the negative reviews have because there's nothing saying professional like being snarky and telling all your customers it's their fault they got scammed. I wish I read the reviews before the reservation.

I never had more problems with an accomodation. I was not allowed to check-in though I told them my arrival time in advance. I had to get an airbnb and the manager declined to refund me. Two days stress! Save your holidays and don't book a room here. edit/reply to the answer: it's not true that I didn't tell you when I'll arrive. First you told me it was ok to arrive 1h later but then you didn't allow the check-in.

My advice to all: DON'T STAY IN THIS PLACE! This place truly has nothing to do with hospitality and the owner commited LEGAL THEFT. I payed but did not stay. I arrived late in the afternoon on my motorcycle booked a room quickly as always through booking without reading a pager of conditions. I asked kindly on the phone if I could check-in at 7 pm. The owner replied yes I will check. Not that much later I got a email asking for a 25 euro surcharge for late booking. This was a 50% increase of the normal price of the room (only half hour after normal check in). I was unaware and canceled. Directly calling the owner afterwards. He was rude, short on the phone and said this was mentioned in the conditions, he mentioned I could cancel the booking and hang up the phone. However I found out that I could not cancel the booking and get any of the fees back. I tried to call him again no answer. I just payed 50 euros, which did not get me a room. It did not even give me a contact to talk too. Obviously on purpose he did not respond. So even though I did not read the ridiculous conditions, I was not even properly explained what the situations was and not given the opportunity to stay and pay the extra fee. Instead I had to book another hotel room for another 50 euros otherwise I had to sleep on the streets.

I really enjoyed staying here for one night ! The location is unbeatable, the host is extremely lovely and reasonable (with excellent tips), it’s great value for money and it’s super homey / cosy. The negative reviewers here only seem to point out that you need to be a bit organised when booking this place since it’s not a traditional hotel - it’s a boutique set of studios, almost like an airbnb, run by a great host (can confirm its absolutely not a scam.) He really does take care of a lot and is around doing everything, so it’s actually reasonable that you to need to arrive early or on time to be able to meet the host at an exact time. If you’re unsure of when you’ll make it, give yourself sufficient leeway and/or ask for a phone number in advance. I will definitely be staying again if I come to Aix. If you want more of an authentic home to stay in when travelling - it’s the best.
