Great place. Forests, steep hills, great for climbing, mountain biking or just stroll around. Beautiful villages.

What a beautiful place. There are many ancient hill villages and quiet little hamlets tucked away in this hidden treasure of Provence. A must visit! Returned here again in September and October 2019 and as always, enjoyed this beautiful area of France. Enjoyed the experience at Carrieres de Lumieres and highly recommend this place. Parking here is a challenge and an underground parking garage is sorely needed! Visited Mas Ste Berthe winery and the setting is spectacular in the shadows of Les Baux and the wines and olives are reasonable and of high quality. Worth a visit!

Super area for walking through rocky ravines or climbing a little higher as well as exploring the local villages. Good area for birding, especially the colourful rollers, but few while we were here in late March

This is an incredibly beautiful area with lots of opportunities for nice walks and bicycling. The little mountains in the area are a joy to behold, and make for great views. The area is mostly very quiet, so no large queues of tourists all over the place, with the exception of only a few villages like Saint-Remy-de-Provence, although even there it is quite comfortable to walk still. You're also quite close to the sea if you want to gaze at some different views or hills ;) and beautiful towns like Uzes and the Pont du Gard can be quite close if you go to the right spot.

Fantastic place for a hike or an easy walk in the nature. Unusual rock formations and great views are to be found. Popular spot for climbing too so you won't be alone trying to find a parking spot in a shade!
