Well, we saw some wonderful reviews online for this place and went. But unfortunately, we were disappointed... The omelettes and salads were the only good things in this place.... AND IT'S CALLED A PATISSERIE! For a patisserie, they really do not have a lot of choice for desserts and take your money for the Gourmand formules. The service was absolutely appalling... We ordered 3 teas and 2 coffees, and one of them was completely forgotten! Nothing came at the same time, meaning some of us were finished before others had their food and drink! We were waiting for our food for a really really long time, so was another family sitting next to us. THEY HAD FINISHED THEIR DRINKS BEFORE THEIR FOOD ARRIVED and they weren't appetizers! Now really, take this piece of advice, even though some of your food is good, GOOD SERVICE is essential and being called a Patisserie, I suggest you take a few months to focus on that again!

Delicious Pâtisserie. Nice atmosphère. Château view. I give 4 stars instead of 5 because waitresses despite their charm could be a little harsh on service and throw the plates and cups on your table instead of gently putting them:) Lovely place.
A trove of treasures for those who love French pâtisserie
Really nice ice cream but we were thrown out because apparently you're not allowed to sit at their tables if you've only bought ice cream. If visiting, give all tips to the nice young woman with good English, not the angry old French lady (she's the one that yelled at us).
Decent place for breakfast. Good service and Pastries are ok.
Excellent place for a small meal, a sorbet, or tea or coffee with cake. Located on a nice corner in the old city, the terrace features views over the Amboise castle. Excellent for watching people passing by. Toilets are clean and at least one had a diaper changing table. Service is friendly. Recommended place.
My wife and I were only in Amboise for a few days, and we loved this place for breakfast. We almost went twice even though there are so many other options. Great breakfast.
