Ok but not exactly good, good.
Château d'Andlau (Andlau Castle) It is a medieval ruined castle in the commune of Andlau, France. The location was chosen due to its impressive defensive position over the valleys below. The castle was built from granite blocks by Eberhard d'Andlau between 1246 and 1264. The presence of two towers (rather than a tower and a donjon) is very unusual in castles in this region. At the beginning of the 19th century it was sold to a merchant who, with great indifference, began to sell the castle stone by stone. Fortunately, a member of the d'Andlau family bought the ruin in 1818 and tried to save it from destruction. It is a recognized historical monument since 1926. In recent years the castle has also become a centre for art shows, sound and light displays and other events.
Nice hike to the castle ruin. Had a great time over there.
Amazing castle.
Very historic and authentic place. Perfect for a short hiking
A ruined castle being rebuilt by volunteers. At the end of a nice 1.5 km (1 mi) mostly-flat hike (probably do-able with a stroller, but not wheelchair accessible).
Free! It's only a 3 km stroll up a reasonably surfaced forest track from the middle of Mittelbergheim and a great way to pay off some wine calories (200 metre climb). Shaded route, ideal for warm days and rainy alternatives too.
