Great view from the top of the observatory. Watch out the platform is supposed to support 8 persons max, most of the time there was 10-15 up there. Can be a little intimidating as the stairs are wobbling as people go up or down.

Really amazing views on the top. You have a pretty good view of Arcachon. To go on top, there are a lot of narrow stairs, so I guess is not recommended for people with low mobility.

Breathtaken views of the bay. Climbing to the top can be a challenge as the structure could move a little becuae of the wind.

Great views of Arcachon and should not be dismissed from the list. However, this is not for anyone afraid of heights. The stairs do swing a bit and only narrow enough for one person going up or down. With the latter avoid in peak season except early.

There's really not a lot to say about this town other than it's a typical sea side resort town...nice if your going to the beach. As for the obsevatorie, hmmmm...its a fairly rickety structure with a steep narrow set of spiral stairs suspended on cables that allows only one person at a time up or down, so go early in the morning if you want to be able to get your pictures. They view is nice however.
