Had been supposed to have a great cycling holiday in the Cevennes renting bikes from these guys and then Boris imposed the 14 day quarantine on all returning from France so I had to cancel my holiday. Expensive and disappointing but Provence were great and refunded our rental. Really appreciated and of course we are going to go to them every time now!

Nasty people, never take bikes from them! I wish I had read comments before I rent the bike. Very bad service. When I came, they kept talking with each other and with other clients and I spent there half an hour just waiting. Finally I took the bike. But when I went only about 20 km it broke down completely. I didn't fall or hit anything. It just broke down. I guess it was in bad condition before and it was the right moment for it to fall apart. So I had to call them and the owner brought me another bike but he did not warn me I'd have to pay for it! Only when I came to return the second bike (again had to wait 20 min) - surprise surprise -he told me they charge me 81! Must be the cost of that bike! And he didn't show me any price list for broken details, just invented the price and wrote on a piece of paper! Disgusting experience, irresponsible, inadequate people! The lock they gave was also very bad, I never managed to turn the key on the first try. Finally, they do not accept cash for deposit but block it on your credit card. And I still do not have my money back! NEVER RENT BIKES THERE!

Be SMART and AVOID Provence Bikes. Incredibly unfriendly employees and totally overpriced bikes! Together with my girlfriend I tried this rental and we were disapointed in every respect. At the end of the day (after 30 minutes drive), we had a damaged bike and had to bring it back personally. Of course, it can always happen that a rented bike breaks down. However, the way the customer was treated was particulary rude and audacious. Caution rip-off! The employees have not even tried to deal with the problem. We were simply laughed at.

Rented for a day to ride to Les Baux. Great service from Philippe. Wish we could have rented for the week but too much rain. Philippe set up the bikes and mapped out our route. Very helpful. Highly recommend this shop!

Rented bikes here twice last year. Both times bikes were faulty. Gears didn't work properly and two chains snapped. I ended up having to fix them myself. Not a brilliant service.

We took a self-guided tour with Cyclemundo, who contracted with Provence Bike. We were given the lowest quality bikes possible. The bikes worked, but they were exceptionally heavy. The shop had much nicer models available on the floor when we departed and arrived back. I felt that we were taken advantage of in terms of the rental. However, The company was friendly. We rented a scooter when we returned from them.

We would not recommend this company at all. We booked a motorbike through their website using our credit card and thought all was well. We then contacted them to raise a query about helmets. When no response was received, we called them only to be told the bike we had booked was unavailable. We requested to cancel as it had been a specific bike we were after and were told this was fine. We waited for the refund to be raised as the payment was holding on our credit card, but this didn't happen. So we chased by email. We were told the refund would be done now. A few days later and still no refund, the amount was still pending on our card so we chased for the refund again. No response and then the amount was taken on the day we would have been due to rent. Needless to say we were not impressed and it has taken a week and several emails to get them to confirm that they have now raised the refund. Hopefully we will see the refund in the next few days. It has certainly been stressful and I just hope this is the end of it. Long story short; unless you're not bothered by the bike you get and the service you receive, we wouldn't recommend them.

Had a great experience renting from Provence Bike. I came in looking to rent a bike for one day to ride out to pont du gare. Sense it was already noon and pont du gare is over 40km away from Avignon it wasn’t clear if I would make it back in time before the shop would close at 6:30. This was a problem because they were closed the next day which was the same day that I left Avignon. The man helping me was very accommodating and offered to have me leave the bike with my hotel and pick it up from there. In the end I did make it back to the shop before 6:30. The bike I rented worked very well and only costed 10 for the day! Best shop in town.
