I love this castle located in the little town. I like because it’s surrender by moat and river. The park is pretty , great little walk and the inside is well decorated. Easy to park next to the castle you can tickets online to skip the line. One of my favorite castles. I recommend to visit the roses garden and have a drink front of the castle

The chateau itself is not accessible with a wheelchair, but the grounds and the gardens are. You can have a drink or lunch. And there is an accessible toilet.
The castle has been maintained to its original renaissance self. The brochure showed the history of every room in an amazing depth. Beautiful place a must go for all other tourists.
So charming. Very well preserved. Like in every castle in the loire, you get a tour of the bedrooms, salons, dining rooms and kitchen. You can go up to the attic where bats live. We were fortunate enough to see the castle staff changing dinnerware in the main dining room. Very interesting to see how they handle such old artifacts. Guided tours in French are offered for free when you enter (maximum 40 people). Picnics are forbidden inside the premises. There is a little salon de thé behind the castle where you can get ice cream.
Despite the renovation, the castle has kept unique medieval atmosphere. Very nice place. It is not big and you can see it all in 30 minutes.
Beautiful charming castle. Apparently Tours is glittered with castle but this is my favorite. Hidden in the greenery surrounded in a water, the south side of the castle gives the impression that it just floats in the water without entrance/bridge to get in. The interior architecture is also amongst the most interesting one in the region, even after you visit castles after castles. Some interesting rooms with interaction and installation that is quite impressive.
The castle and gardens are lovely. It's not as large as some of the more famous castles, and that is a good thing. There are not bus loads of tourists either. Our experience was perfect and personal. The displays are my favorite in the entire Loire Valley! We did get the video guides, in English, which I would recommend. I think they were 3 each. The gardens are beautiful as well. A picture is worth a thousand words.
A unique chateaux, in that it is surrounded to it's walls by a moat, mirroring it's image. With gold topping the finals of the towers and parts of the roof.. Very well worth a visit.
