A fun place, with a huge collection and a smal explenation next to the exibits. Unfortnately a bit run down.

If you like anything mechanical, this is the place to visit. So much on display, it was overwhelming. My particular favorite was the mobile guillotine, what a thing!

The collection of rare and unusual vehicles is vast. There are many fine examples of steam powered engines and early tractors, petrol powered bikes, cars and trucks. There also some examples of early electric vehicles. Included in the exhibition are some unusual military tracked vehicles. It takes several hours to view the collection. Not really suited to very young children, but seems popular with school parties. Not many interactive displays to engage with, though quite a number of the machines are operated by motion sensors. Definitely worth a visit as one of the largest collections of vintage vehicles that I have seen.

Very interesting museum with an eclectic range of exhibits. Great for wet weather, but also beautiful grounds by the river Lovely restaurant with nice range of reasonably priced food but also tables for picnics.

The Maurice Dufresne museum of machinery. A large collection of historic machinery from the 17th century to the 20th. Cars, farming machinery, bicycles, optical instruments. Allow 2 to 3 hours for a visit. Open April to September.
