I stayed in Paris, and tried to reach here 2 times in vain. First day when I visited in Fontainebleau, on my way back I tried but it was quite late so I decided to spend the following day in Barbizon. However, When I got in Melun, there was not public transportation from the station to Barbizon. The only one is taxi, but I could not see any taxi on the street. Barbizon is famous for the painters' village but it was not easy to commute. Even local people do not know how to commute there. I wish I could visit there some day. It was really disappointing for me and lost 1 day and half fully.

A must to be seen. Great museum very well set up. Nice history of the place. You get the feeling of jiw life was at the painter's time.

Encore plus intéressant grâce à la visite guidée ! Étonnantes sont les peintures sur les murs, les portes et les placards
Musée à voir si on est à Barbizon. Le RDC est plus intéressant que l'étage. Les amateurs de peinture aimeront (les autres moins). Il vaut mieux y aller pour les journées du patrimoine où l'entrée est gratuite sinon le rapport qualité-prix est un peu cher selon moi. Visite globalement correcte.
Quel beau musée !! Voir des œuvres au milieu d'une ambiance de bistrot du 19ème siècle est une belle originalité. Pensez à regarder la vidéo en début de visite, elle est très bien faite et permet une bonne compréhension du site.
