The stay at Diane’s place was amazing. Welcome dinner, breakfast served every morning, and beautiful guided routes. We rode through rolling hills nearby, up the Puy Mary, and even got a little competitive on the Argentat climb. Diane also guided us to the local cafes for great stops. The farewell dinner was particularly amazing. Four course meal from an amazing chef. Diane’s cycling camp is done in a “choose your own adventure” style. She’s involved as much as you’d like, can SAG for you, or ride with you. The rental bikes are also great! Carbon, hydraulic disc brakes, tubeless! There is also lots to see in the area if you decide to take a rest day (or two). I’ll be coming back in 2020 and possibly in 2021, with different crews!
Lovely place for cycling and relaxing. Breathtaking tour to Puy Mary (Col de Peyrol) via Salers. Wonderful host and great support. 5 stars nothing else.
Diane is a fantastic host. Incredible place for an active holiday, tourist life in France Profond or even just relaxing in tranquility.
Fantastic experience for cyclists of all ages, and abilities. Diane took us on some of the best routes in Corrèze, from going through the charming old towns, going up the challenging Puy Mary which was a categorized climb in the Tour de France, to sweeping descents that go on forever, while offering spectacular views of the French countryside. Diane is also a great host, who is warm, friendly and thoughtful. The house is beautiful and cozy, a really nice place to relax after a day of cycling. When off the bike, there's also plenty of other activities to explore around the region. Highly recommended, and will be back for more.
Hard to believe but the cycling in this region is even lovelier than the photo's. Diane's house is lovely and the local breads, cheese and wine - divine. There's plenty to do off the bike, too. I can't wait to return. July 2019 - My second trip to DBest was even better than the first! At our request, Diane arranged for local chefs to come make dinner each evening, delicious! Hot days were relieved by breezy cool evenings and we started every day with warm bread and croissants so we could ride early. This year I joined the day trip to climb 3 cols, to the pinnacle of Puy Mary and the amazing descent back to Salers for lunch and shopping. Diane can arrange for your visit to be as supported or as independent as you like, so if you are planning to cycle in southern France, definitely check out DBest.
What I week I’ve had courtesy of Diane. The cycling has been ace - a great hire bike, brilliant scenery but most of all fab company and one very special host. I didn’t think it was possible to laugh as much as I have done this week. I’ve pushed myself out on the bike yet never once felt under pressure. Diane, thanks for really looking after me and making me see I really am capable of doing lots - #Fearless #TeamEleven .
DBestCycling offered challenging rides of gorgeous scenery and uncrowded roads. All their leaders are experienced coached and local, with extensive knowledge of riding as well as the area's culture and history. DBest provided great equipment of reasonable prices and forever memorable rides. In short, highly recommended. We are already planning for Summer 2019!
