The apartment has been recently and tastefully renovated and has a small private garden. We were provided with a baby cot for a small fee, however the apartment is not adapted for small children (high not protected staircase, no baby chair making feedings very difficult, open sockets). On arrival we found half eaten ice-cream in the freezer and the rest of orange juice in the fridge from previous owners. We left the apartment in a reasonable state (no dirty dishes, no garbage, made beds). Despite extra 40 fee for cleaning, our credit card was charged with 150, unannounced, for “additional cleaning fees and small damages”. 3 weeks after our stay we are still waiting for the damage list from the owner. We did not make inventory with photos upon arrival and leaving and were charged for damages left by previous guests. Please don’t make the same mistake. The surrounding area of Bastia is not as pittoresque as for ex. Saint-Florent and the small villages in the mountains. Overall, Corsica is a beautiful island but next time I would be more careful in chose of housing.
