It's good fun...but don't go thinking it's a blues festival. There's always two or three genuine blues acts on, but that's likely to be it...just as likely to get pop or rock. Means that you are better off NOT buying a festival pass but choosing who to see...and if you are into blues the acts you want to see may not even be on the main stages at night but playing at a local chateaux in the afternoon and you get get in (as long as you are there early) for something like 12 euros. If not going to the main site at night (and saving yourself money on acts you don't want to see but are put on to pull in the French kids) can go the main town square, have a meal and drink, and sit outside listening to the bands for free...get some good, if unknown, electric blues bands playing every night. Location and weather are everything....and there 's a very good and cheap municipal camp site walking distance from the town. Festival has a very good ambience and location...just wish there was more actual blues.
