One of the most beautiful castles in the perigord noir. You have a great view and the castle is really nice. The way up to the fortress is steep and difficult. I can recommend a visit.

Phenomenal little town/village. We visited on the hottest day of the year, the castle was surprisingly cool and spacious. Beautiful walk up to the castle, so picturesque we thought it was directly out of a movie set! A quick dive in the river afterwards with the locals to cool us down. Cannot recommend this place highly enough! Bring water for the walk up (so worth it though!)

Beautiful village and Chateau to visit. Spectacular views from the top of the chateau. The chateau is dog friendly as long as on the lead and well behaved

The castle and it's surroundings are absolutley beautifull. It's all in perfect condition and you go right back in time. I would definetly visit the castle the money is well worth it. It's quite a hike to the top but the views are amazing and you can spot other castles in the area from the top of the castle.

Absolute brilliant experience. Loved every moment of it. Brilliant views but advise to take a bottle of water to keep cool. Aha

One of the best castles I've ever been to. You're also able to see lots of parts of the castle and the views are magnificent of the Dordogne valley

A very rewarding climb. Steep and tricky in places, so flat non slip shoes are a must. The history and views are worth the effort. Cafe/restaurants are at the top, however, will be closed in line with usual French customs. There are also restaurants and refreshments available at the bottom, on the river.
