As a bilingual school i sent with no hesitation my little boy there ! But wrong decision, it was a mess!!! I expected that my child would continue to learn english as he used to do in our country, as, half the day the lessons are taught in French and the other half in English Unfortunately the teachers are non-native English speakers, to shed light on this issue, what i want to say is that, this “foreign accent”, by this i mean, the teachers' accentedness is the most noticeable thing when teaching others I don't want to be mean here, but, the pronounciation and the accents in language learning are very important, as, learners themselves may not be able to articulate the differences between not having an accent and having a real english accent Teachers have to possess certain linguistic qualities in order to adequately teach this language, qualities, that, West Point teachers do not have at all! Foreign parents, please beware ! You are warned

We arrived to Lyon from America and chose to sent our son to second grade here. We left West Point after one year and had to move him to another school because his emotional health had deteriorated so drastically. He was repeatedly bullied by a student and this was completely ignored multiple times by the staff. In addition to this my son was made to feel a failure in his classes (despite receiving high grades and getting top marks in entrance exams into another international school after we left West Point), and he was shamed publicly for crying and “being emotional” when he was sad or downright depressed. Our son became suicidal from the emotional and educational neglect he received from this school. I would never recommend it to anyone.

American expats, seeking a bilingual education for our children. This was the only school reasonably priced with room for our daughter and son where the staff 'seemed' friendly. At first. The curriculum is half the day taught in French and half the day in English. We were assured that our children would learn French in no time. That has not happened. The school is NOT geared towards expats learning French, but rather towards French children learning English. This school is for the nouveau riche élite of Lyon- as evidenced by them running you over (walking OR driving) in their Audis, Range Rovers, BMWs, etc as they rush to get their brats to school each morning. I had also hoped to make friends with some other parents there, but unless you are dressed like you have a lot of money and \en vogue\ in sequin skirts and high heels with jeans, no parent will speak to you. The administration is horrible. They don't communicate anything to you, and when/if they ever do, everything is in French, despite it being a bilingual school that boasts \many students from different countries\. Unless you are a nouveau riche francophone parent, the administration will not speak to you or acknowledge your presence. The teachers are very nice, but because the kids have ecreation time\ about half of the day, the kids don't learn anything. DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE IF YOU ARE NOT FRENCH! I wish I could turn back time and enroll our kids in public school and just pay 1000euro a month on private tutoring. The money would have been better spent.
