Phenomenal sight. A must have experience. Great drive down to the river. Good swimming location even with kids with lots of shades. Can't wait to return!

Possibly one of my favourite walks in this area. Visually stunning from the top, and breathtakingly cold if you dare to swim in the source of the river. I have never seen such clear water.

On the southern edge of the Massif Central, the Vis river has meandering through this plateau for centuries. Some 6,000 years ago, the eroding river cut off one of those meanders, creating a horseshoe lake. Over time, this has dried up, resulting in the Cirque de Navacelles, a very special and beautiful landscape that is well worth a visit.
