It was very nice to cooperate with Block8 for the documentary on the national minority participation in Georgia. I have worked with Bock8 Productions in 2017 where they supported the entire production of a Google Arts & Culture film set in Lyon. Yoann and Axel are super talented, flexible and resourceful professionals. They have managed to put together an incredible number of locations, permits, cast and crew in just a few weeks, and all was handled with a wonderful positive and proactive attitude. Working with Block8 Productions has been a real pleasure and looking forward to the next project!
We worked with Block 8 to produce a short film about politcial participation in Georgia (a project of the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities). We were a little nervous before filming started, as all communications had been over email, but as soon as the two teams met, we found an easy and productive relationship emerged. Axel and Robin are enthusiastic and keen to learn as much about the topic as possible in order to create the most beautiful and faithful film possible, within the limitations that always exist of time and resources. They embodied a spirit of adventure that helped make the whole production process, and lengthy travelling, a joy. The communication between their team and ours was respectful and efficient. We trusted them to bring our vision to life, and they repaid that with a stunning piece of film. All creative productions find unanticipated obstacles suddenly crop up to try to derail your work, and this was no different. Axel helped us overcome those issues with calm, good-natured constructive approaches. I would recommend Bock 8, and would be honoured to work with them again. Most of it, it was a fun experience.
