Had the chance to enter free as it is on every first Sunday of the month. To be honest, I'm not a fan of art but this never felt bored. Wonderful representation of their history with all the ancient souvenirs.

An interesting museum, however, we struggled since many of the exhibit info cards did not have English translations. The lady at reception is lovely and really helped us out when we visited this afternoon. She’s great!
Very nice museum showing the history of Bordeaux. From prehistoric till today. The use of multi media was impressive.
Don't forget to download the app and bring it when you visit it. Great explanation and contextualisation. Easy to walk around and enjoy.
Good Education for people be able to travel back at the beginning.
Fantastic prehistory section. Honest and complete treatment of the triangular slave trade. Quite small but interesting medieval section.
Nice and very well put museum telling the History of Bordeaux from the Paleolithic age to modern times... some people noted that some exhibits are only in french but you can have a good time ... We liked rhe exhibit about the slave trade from Bordeaux.. sad chapter in human history... Great museum ... highly recommended
Rich in the history of the region of Aquitaine. The good, the bad and the sad... Always improving worth visiting multiple times.
