Very nice modern haute-cuisine: visually appealing and tasty creations from the French cuisines with a hint of the chef’s Japanese heritage. One star reduction for the wine pairing. The first two courses are without pairing, it only starts with the 3rd course and for the price we had expected better wines.

Absolutely amazing dinner, highly recommend this place. Atmosphere is nice, good staff, but best part is food - every dish is excellent. Merci beaucoup!

My husband visited Akashi during our stay in Bordeaux and it was one of the best meals we had in France. The staff are very friendly, the wine pairings with the food are excellent, and everything is artfully prepared. We highly recommend this restaurant!

In one word, exceptional. I think the menu changes daily. We had lunch - fish and asparagus tartar with an asparagus mousse and horseradish, followed by cod in bouillabaisse sauce and a terrine of grapefruit and orange with soft cream cheese. Perfect control of the bitter flavors, which is both unusual and difficult to do.
