Very beautiful inside. The aesthetic design is preserved just like most of Catholic Churches. Its also quite spacious inside and statues of Jesus and the Saints are seen. Outside, you can see the spires from the distance and this actually got my attention as soon as I stepped out the bus. The painted glass windows from the sides and the ceilings provide illumination which I think brings enough sunlight that adds solemnity of the place.

Saint Louis des Chartron is a stunningly beautiful gothic revival church not far from the Garonne river and the heart of the city of Bordeaux. I visited just after their Sunday morning service and they were very welcoming. They do allow visitors to explore inside. Gorgeous collection of stained-glass windows, beautiful nave and a stunning organ. The organ is listed as a French monument. This church is dedicated to Saint Louis, King of France. An absolutely gorgeous church and a national treasure especially for this beautiful city of Bordeaux. A must visit and suitable for all ages and backgrounds.

Interesting to notice churches have become businesses! 5 or 10 to light a candle! Everywhere else it is 1 or 2, even free of charge. Disappointing to say the least.

A beautiful, peaceful church with amazing architectural features inside, typical of the churches built in it's time. With it's location outside of the main city centre, it felt like a bit of a find to wander across it! The walls were being sandblasted when we visited, so there was some scaffolding up, but the resulting colour of the walls that had been done was beautiful.

Beautiful neo-gothic church. Has some of the most beautiful stained glass windows I've ever seen. Worth a visit.
