Nice museum with amazing views from the towers and the walls, especially on the sunny day. You can see the bay, the port and the old city in their beauty. Now is especially great time to visit since there are very few people in attendance

I love to visit this types of museum. But found this one quite boring. Short to no signs in English (and only a few in German), you got a audioguide in English, but the guide itself was slow and not always that interesting in my opinion. Many many stairs into spaces and rooms that was sparsely equipped with forced facts. Would not recommend because I feel like you can visit better museums in this region and get more experiences for your time. The personnel was nice. I found no toilets while visiting.

Danglicious

Informative place,National Marine Museum houses a unique heritage testifying to the great naval adventure Arsenal Brest and the French Navy. In the recently renovated rooms, visitors can discover the masterpieces of naval decoration, the expedition Laperouse, life convicts or iconic ships of contemporary Navy. The tour combines interior and exterior, to assess the richness of the collections, the views of the harbor and city and architectur of the castle

Nice museum, but I expected a more extend display of naval items. It is more a museum of the castle of Brest in my opinion.
