Easy to get to by bus or tram! We use the bus 15 and it's about 30 mins away from the Bordeaux city centre, costs 770 for a family of 5. Lots of fun for the family here, water sports available between 14h and 18h, there's a camping ground, food trucks with reasonable priced food, area to clean up and w/c. There's lifeguards around too. The area is well sign posted and people are generally happy and friendly. Lovely lake to swim in, there's dedicated areas for babies, and other areas for playing and splashing and for swimming enthusiasts.

It was not the cleanest beach I have been to I'm afraid but my daughter liked it. I like the sand for children to play. I wouldn't swim in it tough. Life guard doesn't start work until 11am!
A tiny but wonderful lake beach to chill during summer. A bit off from the city center but easy to reach by public transport. Recommended for those who want to escape from the city and get close to nature :)
Nearest 'beachy' place to go on a sunny day in Bordeaux. It's a very small beach at one corner of the Bordeaux lake. Maybe be too crowded sometimes depending on the season but an amazing place for some relaxing time.
Amazing! Absolutely great for all the family and best thing... the water sports are absolutely free!!!! The lake is superb, not too deep and perfect for small children, then past that there is a slightly deeper bit for older/better swimmers. I did the stand up paddle boarding, and the lake is amazing, clear and blue and on a sunny day a beautiful temperature. Superb, and definitely going back.
Not currently open but was lovely when we visited last summer
Great place to chill out and swim....
Very nice place for kids to play when the weather is really hot, not far from the city centre :)
