The church is located in the area where Saint Joan of Arc was burnt at the stake. There is a garden and monument just outside of the church. The shape of the church is quite interesting and really different. We had a quick look inside and it is very modern looking. It does have a really nice stained glass behind the altar. Worth the stop if you are in the area looking at the other historical buildings.

A very nice and historical site, worth visiting. And close to a marketplace. It is a unique style of catholic church with the monument to remember of Joana Darc, plus it says there was the place where she was sadly killed. Isnt the most beautiful place around, but it is safe and worth all to feel the history that happened there.

Beautiful church, with a very interesting architecture. Not at all in a traditional style but refreshing and spectacular. The sombering spot where Joan of Arc was executed is on the same site with a gigantic cross. A must visit for any history buff.

The Church of Saint Joan of Arc (French: L'église Sainte-Jeanne-d'Arc) is a Catholic church in the city centre of Rouen, northern France. The church of Saint Joan of Arc was completed in 1979 in the centre of the ancient market square, known as the Place du Vieux-Marché, the place where Joan of Arc was burned at the stake for heresy in 1431.The modern church Sainte-Jeanne d'Arc and the adjacent market halls were designed by the architect Louis Arretche, who was commissioned in 1969.

A really interesting find in the heart of Rouen. Really different from any other church you might see in France, or in the world in general. The church is in the shape of a boat, and when stepping inside, one actually gets the feeling of being inside a ship. The stained glass effect is quite good. Open most days of the year. There is also a 3D-type experience of the Joan of Arc story.

Joan of Arc Catholic church was on my checklist of churches I wanted to check out while I was in France. The architecture is very unique from the outside as it doesn't look like a common Catholic church but it is quite stunning. Unfortunately I was unable to go inside as we got there outside of visiting hours. Wish we had the chance. I definitely recommend you check it out.

An interesting modern take on a religious building, based loosely on a Viking Longship (Vikings being the 'original' Normans). The light from the stained glass windows is very calming. Even though it lacks the grandeur and scale of the nearby gothic Cathedral, this is a pleasant place to sit and reflect, in the heart of a bustling square. It is also at the location of Joan of Arc's burning at the stake, a significant event in the Hundred Year's War between England and France.

Free to visit. Not a big cathedrale but it is just monument that you might consider to visit if you are around.
