We drove four hours to see this along toll motorways and thought it was well worth the drive. Actually, it was a really good rest stop on a long drive, we washed our hands in the cool water, took photos and paddled in the water, then bought drinks and snacks from a convenience store nearby. Very pretty fountain, if you are passing nearby, it's worth a quick stop.

Awesome place for everyone either 5 year child or 60 year old person person who love peas and person who love shopping.
Nothing to write home about... but one of the symbols of the city. There's a very nice old merrygoround next to it, so your kids may enjoy the place...
On top of the monument, there is a statue of General de Boigne. Interesting story about the French General who became famous in India. He even fought with the Russians against the Turks and became captured by the Turks but due to his good connections and the knowlegde of the English language he was freed with the help of a British colonel.
